Transportation and logistics is one of the Green Bay region’s fastest-growing sectors, fueled by its substantial manufacturing base and robust multimodal transportation network.

The region offers access to interstate highways, rail, a commercial airport and several ports along the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway. As the westernmost point on Lake Michigan, its 14 port operators move more than 2 million tons of cargo annually aboard 200+ ships, contributing more than $200 million to the regional economy. A Foreign Trade Zone designation also gives companies added advantages when importing and exporting goods by truck, rail, air or water.
