Rachel Ritter is the owner of The Plant People Inc. in Green Bay, where she leads a growing team specializing in interior plantscaping, seasonal décor, holiday installations, and retail.

A graduate of UW–Oshkosh, Rachel’s career path has been anything but traditional. After beginning her career in special education, she took a break from teaching about ten years ago and started watering plants at The Plant People. From there, her career took several turns, including work as a respite care provider and later as Director of Client Services at a web agency. Those experiences helped shape the way Rachel approaches leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer service today. In 2025, she came full circle and purchased The Plant People, the same company where she had once started out watering plants.

Since taking ownership, Rachel has been learning firsthand what it means to step into an established business, lead through change, and build for the future. She is passionate about entrepreneurship, leadership, and creating opportunities for people to grow alongside the business.

Rachel especially enjoys connecting with other young professionals who are navigating their own careers, taking risks, and discovering that the path to where you are meant to be is rarely a straight one.
