The Find Your Inspiration Experience is a two-day event providing an opportunity for students, parents, educators and community members to be exposed to different industries and career fields in Greater Green Bay.
This experience can guide the students as they prepare to sign up for high school and/or college classes and determine a pathway to their dream jobs - whether through a four-year degree and beyond, the military, an apprenticeship or an on-the-job training pathway.
Parents, educators and community members who experience the event walk away with information and can engage with students as they decide upon a career path.
The Greater Green Bay Chamber continues to work with our stakeholders, including school administrators, post-secondary partners, parents and community businesses, to support student career exploration and the Find Your Inspiration event.
To further support the need of physical distancing that protects our community’s health during this pandemic, we have cancelled the 2020 Find Your Inspiration Career Exploration event, scheduled for Nov. 11 and 12, 2020.
To assist in supporting academic and career planning in an equitable and engaging manner, we are planning to expand the 2021 Find Your Inspiration event to a full two-day event. It will focus on area 8th grade students on day one and 9th grade students (those who would have attended this fall's event) on day two when the event occurs in fall 2021.
Academic and career planning will be available for the 2020-2021 school year:
We will continue to offer creative career exploration, planning opportunities and resources that support academic and career planning (ACP) through the 2020-2021 school year. We are planning creative ways to host:
These resources will showcase and feature all 16 federally recognized career clusters to more than 52,000 area students, their families and educators through our online career exploration platform, FindYourInspiration.careers.
We will stay connected with our school counselors and educators to share opportunities for students and educators to get involved with career exploration opportunities and share many resources available.
If you have ideas or are looking for partnership options, please contact us at FYI@greatergbc.org.
As we will continue to provide career exploration opportunities for our students, educators and community for this coming school year, starting in Fall of 2020, we will look to our past event investors, exhibitors and community partners to continue to support our efforts.
Investment Options for 2020 Career Exploration Activities
Additionally, as we begin to plan for the two-day 2021 Find Your Inspiration event for next fall 2021, we will reach out to our past event investors to continue your event support.
