Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay’s primary fundraising event will take place on September 18, 2025

On September 18, 2025, the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay celebrates a major milestone: the 20th anniversary of Powerful, formerly known as Power of the Purse, a beloved event that has brought our community together for two decades to uplift, inspire, and support women and girls in our region.

The featured speaker, Joan Lunden, is an award-winning journalist, bestselling author, television host, and motivational speaker, and is a true trailblazer who has been a trusted voice in American homes for 50 years. For nearly two decades, Lunden greeted viewers each morning on Good Morning America, making her the longest-running female host ever on early morning television. She has broken barriers, and her resilience, reinvention, and advocacy have inspired millions.

The luncheon includes a silent auction including an eclectic mix of bags and high-end purses, raffle baskets, and an engaging program. All members of the community are encouraged to attend to learn more about how the Women’s Fund is empowering, inspiring, and investing in local women and girls to create a stronger community.

Doors for Powerful at the Resch Expo will open at 10:00 a.m. for networking, to view the silent auction, and to purchase raffle tickets. Lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the program featuring Lunden to follow. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit powerful25.givesmart.com Tickets will go on sale on July 17, 2025.

Purse, bag, and donations for the silent auction and raffle at the event are being accepted until August 15, 2025. Visit https://womensfundgb.org/events/powerful/ for more information about how to donate.

A huge thank you to the Sustaining Legacy Partners for Powerful – Associated Bank, Breakthrough, Green Bay Packers Give Back, and Prevea Health – for making this event possible.
