Delta Expands Green Bay Service Ahead of Major College Football Weekend
As college football’s biggest match-ups return this fall, Delta Air Lines is making it easier for fans to reach one of the sport’s most iconic venues by adding flight options into Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) ahead of the highly anticipated Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame game at Lambeau Field on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
To meet strong travel demand, non-stop flights departing from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Reagan National Airport (DCA) on September 5, 2026 and returning on September 7, 2026 will increase capacity into Green Bay for the weekend, giving Badgers and Fighting Irish fans more convenient travel options for catching all the live action.
“With Lambeau Field once again serving as the backdrop for a primetime match-up, the added flights reinforce Green Bay’s ability to host major national events,” said GRB Airport Director Marty Piette. “Delta’s added service underscores a partnership that is committed to providing smooth travel experiences and hassle-free logistics that bring visitors to our community’s doorstep.”
The game-weekend schedule is designed around peak travel days. Inbound service for all flights land in Green Bay the day before the game and outbound service leaves the day following the final whistle. This itinerary is perfect for travelers looking to soak up more time in the Titletown atmosphere, ensuring seamless access to Northeast Wisconsin during one of the busiest weekends of the year.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach said this weekend puts Green Bay and Brown County on a national stage.
“Games like this draw national attention, and Delta’s added flights ensure visitors can get here easily and efficiently,” said Streckenbach. “The partnership formed between GRB and our local airlines help to increase service, ultimately supporting our local economy, our hospitality partners and our ability to host large-scale events that bring lasting benefits to our community.”
GRB encourages travelers to keep checking airline websites for new routes and dates for all destinations. For more information about flights and services at GRB, visit flygrb.com.
