New Community SHelter Launches “JUmp Around Jackpot” Calendar Raffle to Build Excitement for Wisconsin vs. NOtre Dame At Lambeau Field
Football fans and supporters of New Community Shelter have a brand-new reason to get excited this summer. The nonprofit has announced the launch of its inaugural Jump Around Jackpot Calendar Raffle, a 30-day community fundraiser that builds anticipation for one of Wisconsin’s biggest sporting events—the Wisconsin Badgers vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish game at historic Lambeau Field on September 6.
Beginning on August 8, participants will have the opportunity to win prizes every day leading up to the highly anticipated matchup. The 30th and final drawing will take place on Game Day, September 6, when one lucky winner will take home the $1,000 Grand Prize, capping off more than $3,000 in total prizes awarded throughout the month. Only 750 calendars will be sold, giving participants excellent odds while helping support a great cause.
For $20, each calendar provides 30 chances to win cash, gift cards, local experiences, restaurant certificates, and prize packages. Winners are eligible to win multiple times, making every day an opportunity to celebrate while supporting neighbors in need. Daily winners will be announced during LIVE Facebook broadcasts on the New Community Shelter Facebook page.

“We wanted to create something that captures the excitement surrounding one of the biggest sporting events Wisconsin has seen in years,” said Kris Olson, Director of Development for New Community Shelter. “People are already counting down to the Badgers and Fighting Irish playing at Lambeau Field, so we thought, why not turn that excitement into something that also changes lives? Every calendar purchased helps someone in Brown County who needs a safe place to sleep, a hot meal, and the support to rebuild their life.”
Every dollar raised supports New Community Shelter’s Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living Program, Permanent Supportive Housing, and Community Meal Program. Proceeds provide emergency shelter, nutritious meals, case management, housing assistance, and hope for adults experiencing homelessness in Brown County.
Local Businesses Invited to Join the Excitement
New Community Shelter is inviting local businesses to become part of the fun while showcasing their business to the community. For just $200, a business can become the exclusive sponsor of one day’s drawing. Before that day’s winning calendar number is announced, the sponsor will receive a live recognition, giving viewers an opportunity to learn about the business and its support of New Community Shelter.
Every daily drawing will be broadcast LIVE on the New Community Shelter Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/NewCommunityShelter
“This isn’t just another raffle,” Olson said. “Our vision is to create a community tradition that people look forward to every year. Whether you’re cheering for Wisconsin, Notre Dame, or simply love the excitement of football season, everyone can join in, have fun, and know they’re making a meaningful difference for local people who need our help. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to connect with the community while supporting a cause that changes lives.”
Calendars are available now for $20 at the New Community Shelter, 301 Mather St., Green Bay, WI 54303. Because only 750 calendars will be sold, community members are encouraged to purchase theirs early before they sell out.
