Robotics Students Gear Up for the 6th Northeast Wisconsin Showdown at Lambeau FIeld

More than 360 high school students and mentors from across the United States will travel to Green Bay for the 6th Northeast Wisconsin Showdown, hosted at the iconic Lambeau Field Atrium from January 22–23, 2026.

The tournament will feature 72 teams competing in the 2025–2026 VEX Robotics Competition game, Push Back, an action-packed robotics challenge where students compete in fast-paced matches using robots they designed, built, and programmed using the VEX V5 Robotics Platform.

Teams will battle for championship honors and a variety of awards, including the opportunity to qualify for the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri (April 21–24, 2026).

“Hosting the Northeast Wisconsin Showdown at Lambeau Field is an exciting opportunity to showcase Green Bay as a destination for innovation, education, and major events,” said Brad Toll, President & CEO of Discover Green Bay. “We’re proud to welcome these talented students, mentors, and families, and we hope they take time to enjoy everything our community has to offer.”

Participating teams will include student competitors from states such as California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, and more, alongside Wisconsin teams representing many communities throughout the state.
