In response to the growing challenges of food access, Fox Cares Foundation is proud to announce a\ special donation of $25,000 each to three of our region’s leading food pantries: Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay, Oshkosh Area Community Pantry, and St. Joseph Food Program in Menasha.

“This is a moment where we felt compelled to go above and beyond,” said Amanda Brown, Executive Director of the Fox Cares Foundation. “Our Board of Directors took a close look at our financial position and agreed that now is the time to act. OSMS Expands Clinic Hours to Meet Patient Demands

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS) has expanded their clinic and walk-in injury clinic hours for orthopedic and sports medicine care in Green Bay and Neenah.

What this means for patients throughout Northeast Wisconsin, is that on select weekdays, they can either schedule an appointment or walk into the OSMS walk-in clinic with a new injury and be seen by an orthopedic physician until 7:00 pm.

The clinic and walk-in injury clinic expanded hours at OSMS Green Bay are now 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with Friday hours remaining from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. At OSMS Neenah, the clinic and walk-in clinic expanded hours are 8:00 am – 7:00 pm two days a week – with the two days alternating every other week – and the hours for the other three days remaining 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

“We understand that not all injuries happen Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also understand that schedules can get busy, and that some people may not be able to schedule an appointment during the workday,” explains Sandy Fragale, CEO of OSMS. “So, the decision for us to expand our hours was made to allow our community members access to orthopedic and sports medicine care when it is most convenient for them.”

In addition to this change, OSMS MRI services have also expanded later in the evening on Mondays through Thursdays each week.

OSMS’ new clinical and walk-in injury clinic hours can be found on their website at: OSMS Green Bay Clinic and OSMS Fox Valley Clinic.

Goodwill NCW Proud to SErve Those Who’ve Served

On November 11, Americans will honor the men and women who have served our country. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2024, more than 17 million men and women in the United States are veterans.  As military veterans return to civilian life, the need for coordinated job services for this population is critical to support their re-integration.

“We owe our veterans a huge debt”, Kayla Countney, Manager of Mission Relations

at Goodwill NCW said.  “We stand in awe of the courage and commitment of our armed forces and are honored to help so many veterans find employment when returning to civilian life.”

In 2024, Goodwill NCW supported veterans in building new skills for non-military jobs, increasing their median hourly wage by $10.50 and eliminating the employment barriers they often face. One such veteran is Richard Flirt, recent winner of Goodwill NCW’s Veteran of the Year.

After leaving the military, Richard developed issues with PTSD and was having difficulty finding work that fit his talents and goals.  Through Career EXCELerate (a program of Goodwill NCW, in partnership with Rawhide and Fox Valley Technical College), Richard discovered a new path: truck driving. He enrolled in the program, earned his CDL at no cost, and passed his required tests in just 10 days. He completed the program at the top of his class and, shortly after, secured a job with Legacy Trucking. Now Richard has achieved a level of financial stability that has allowed him to buy a new truck, a new boat, renovate his house, and travel.  “I never had someone else invest in me, besides the military, as much as Goodwill,” Richard says. “I’m forever grateful.”

In appreciation for their service, Goodwill NCW stores offer a 10% military discount every Wednesday to active members of the military, veterans, police, firefighters and EMS.  Join Goodwill NCW this Veterans Day in recognizing the service and sacrifice of the more than 17 million Americans who have served our country as part of our armed services by helping them find meaningful work.
