Port of Green Bay October Tonnage totals

October tonnage at the Port of Green Bay totaled 223,406 tons, approximately a 35% increase from total commodities moved in September. This puts the year-to-date total at 1,213,367 tons. This positions the port within range of recent annual averages, highlighting the progress made as the season has advanced.

“We’ve seen strong momentum throughout the season, with tonnage totals continuing to trend upward,” said Dean Haen, Port of Green Bay Director. “With continuous strong movement across core commodities, we expect to finish this season strong.”


The Port of Green Bay saw six total commodities moved through in October. These included limestone
(79,279 tons), salt (62,325 tons), cement (38,528 tons), petroleum products (28,287 tons), wood pulp (8,897 tons) and liquid asphalt (6,090 tons). A total of 20 vessels visited this month, bringing the yearto-date total to 116 ships.


“The Port of Green Bay links Northeast Wisconsin to global markets,” added Haen. “The movement of
cargo through the Great Lakes network powers local opportunities, strengthens regional industry and
ensures our economy remains active and resilient.”
