Senior Citizen Day at the NEW Zoo presented by Mobility City
The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is proud to honor seniors this week during Senior Citizens
Day, presented by Mobility City! All senior adults (aged 62 and above) will receive FREE
admission to the NEW Zoo and to the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour on Thursday, August
21st. Both discounts will be applied in-person, on arrival to the Zoo or to the Adventure Park
Base Camp Building.
Mobility City will be here at the Zoo from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, sharing
information about their solutions for mobility equipment, repairs, rentals, and sales. Visit their
table to learn more and test drive a mobility scooter yourself! Veterans can also stop by the
table and enter to win one of two mobility scooters that will be given out during a special
drawing on Veteran’s Day in November.
Also joining us until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday is Homes for Independent Living (HIL),
Wisconsin’s largest provider of customized care for adults with disabilities in small residential
settings. HIL’s table will have information available about their services, along with some free
gifts for guests.
The NEW Zoo will also provide some tasty treats for our senior guests of honor: free cookies,
coffee, and soda will be available in the Mayan Restaurant while supplies last. As an “extra fun”
bonus this year, seniors will be invited to enjoy a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel for
free between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m.
The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is currently open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the final
tour for the Canopy Tour departs at 5:30 p.m.
