Small Business Feature
Weld + Arrow
The Greater Green Bay Chamber defines any business with less than 50 employees as a small business. Small businesses make up more than 80% of our membership base, and we are proud to offer them support and resources through programming, events and workspaces.
This blog post is part of a monthly series highlighting the small businesses in our community. Learn more about Weld + Arrow in this Q&A with CEO and Owner, Julie Nelson.
Tell us about Weld + Arrow. What is your mission? What services do you offer? Who is your audience?

“Weld + Arrow is a jewelry studio that specializes in meaningful, permanent jewelry designed to connect people through their stories. We believe jewelry should symbolize life’s moments–from love and friendship to family and self-expression–and last through every chapter. Our studios are located in Green Bay, the Fox Cities, and Oshkosh, where guests can experience a personalized, hands-on jewelry appointment or attend one of our curated pop-up events. We offer and specialize in permanent jewelry and carry over 85+ chains, a charm bar with over 200+ charms, and a bead bar with over 30+ colors to choose from. We’ve recently expanded and now make our own handmade, ready to wear jewelry that can be purchased online or in the studio.
Our mission is to create connections that last–through intentional design, craftsmanship, and community. We give back when we can and love to participate in fundraisers. We’re here to offer more than jewelry; we’re offering moments of meaning. Whether it’s a bracelet that celebrates motherhood, a charm symbolizing a milestone, or a chain linking two friends, Weld + Arrow exists to remind people of what matters most: the bonds that make life beautiful.
Our audience is made up of women and families who value connection, sentiment, and style. They’re mothers, daughters, friends, and creatives who love intentional experiences and jewelry that carries a story. Many are part of the local Wisconsin community and choose to shop small and support artisans who put heart into every weld. They come to Weld + Arrow not just for jewelry, but for an experience–a way to celebrate who they are, who they love, and where they’re going.”
When was Weld + Arrow established?
“We were established in February 2024.”
Why did you decide to start Weld + Arrow?
“I got my first bracelet with one of my best friends and knew I needed to bring my own version and an elevated experience to Northeast Wisconsin.”
How would you describe your journey as a business owner?
“My journey has been wild. I first started taking appointments from my home and it quickly grew from there. I have a supportive husband who made this dream possible and great employees who help execute it. There are ups and downs, but I always try to focus on how I can do it better and remember to celebrate the small wins. My journey is just getting started.”
What has been the most rewarding moment for you as a business owner?
“One of the most rewarding moments is to be able to take a vacation with my family without working and having my business just run without me.”
What has been the most challenging part of owning a business?
“Resiliency is key in being a successful business owner. It’s hard when you are still getting established in the community and working on getting your brand out there and known. I’ve had a lot of lessons learned and continue to learn how to pivot my business to meet the needs of my customer base and for my employees. It has truly been an experience seeing a business that started from my home to three location – two of them fully built out as a brick and mortar.”
