Eligibility Criteria

What We’re Looking For: This program is specifically designed for new and budding entrepreneurs, testing their ideas.  A common misconception about what is considered a tech company is that it must exclusively operate in the traditional technology sector, such as software development or hardware manufacturing. In reality, the definition of a tech company has evolved, and today, various businesses across diverse industries leverage technology as a fundamental aspect of their operations. For instance, local boutique shops are embracing e-commerce platforms like Shopify, broadening their customer base beyond the confines of their physical locations. Cafés and restaurants utilize digital marketing tools such as Facebook Ads and Instagram promotions to attract and retain customers. Service-oriented businesses, like consulting firms, leverage CRM software to manage client interactions efficiently. These examples highlight how technology can be a game-changer. We encourage applicants to consider these technological advancements as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

We kindly request that entrepreneurs with substantial established revenue refrain from applying, as we are focused on providing tailored assistance to those in the initial stages of development. Those established businesses please reach out directly so we can connect you with support more closely aligned with your current business needs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the program's alignment with its intended audience. All are welcome to apply. Women, minorities, veterans, and all underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Commitment: We understand that you are likely working on this part-time and don’t expect a full-time commitment. This program does require a weekly commitment of 3 – 4 hours, which includes virtual class time. We expect you to be spending additional time outside of that to develop or create your MVP. However, it’s your idea/company and you call the shots.

Passion: We are looking for passionate applicants who will take advantage of all this program has to offer. Hungry entrepreneurs will benefit from this program.

Disclaimer: Please note that funding for Build Up programs are subject to availability. Participation in programs do not guarantee funding. Prospective applicants should carefully review the program’s terms and conditions, as well as any associated risks, before applying. Additionally, while the Build Up program can provide valuable resources and networking opportunities, success ultimately depends on the individual efforts and strategies of each participating startup.
