Future 15 & Young Professional Awards

Judging Process

Nomination Phase - Nominations are open for three weeks. All nominations received are given the opportunity to apply. Nominations are anonymous.

Application Phase - All nominees are informed of their nomination and invited to apply for the award they were nominated for. Applications are collected over a two-week time frame.

De-Biasing Phase - All applications are reviewed, and any identifying information is blacked out. Names and employers are always removed. Aspects of roles, committees, and organizations are removed only to the extent that the applicant not personally be identified without compromising the integrity of the application.

Screening Phase - A team of screeners from the community, awards alumni, and sponsors read and score each application. Each application is read by at least 3 individuals independently. The average of the scores is used to identify the top 30 applications for Future 15, the top 10 for Young Entrepreneur, and the top 5 for Next Generation Best Place to Work. The top applications in each category move on to the judging phase.

Judging Phase - A new team of judges from the community, awards alumni, and sponsors read and score each application. Each application is read by each judge independently. The average of the scores is used to help identify the Future 15 Recipients, the Young Professional of the Year, the Young Entrepreneur Finalist, and the Next Generation Best Place to Work Finalists. Also, through scores & deliberation, the winner of each award is selected by the team of judges.
